Our responsibilities with regard to our code of conduct
- Our code of conduct describes the way in which we intend to conduct ourselves. Everyone who works at – or acts on behalf of – Control is deemed to follow this code of conduct and put it into practice. We are jointly responsible for this and will encourage each other to do so as colleagues.
- The management has specific responsibilities with regard to the code of conduct. This is expressed, among other things, in exemplary conduct and in initiating, advisory and assessment activities.
- Failure to fulfil the responsibilities referred to in this code of conduct may result in disciplinary measures. This also applies to anyone violating the code, approving of such violations or with knowledge of them but failing to take immediate action to rectify them.
Our core values are what determines the personality of our company. How do we relate to our environment? How do we deal with our customers and other relationships? What internal culture are we aiming for?
Genuineness
This says something about who we are, a professional club of reliable people. In the service we provide, the professional content is hugely important but our individual personalities are no less important. We have both feet on the ground, we are intelligent and analytical, but also hands-on.
Integrity- We conduct our business based on honesty, integrity and sincerity. We respect the interests and opinions of others. This is the precondition for our company’s existence.
- Control expects its customers to act within the spirit of this code of conduct.
- We treat other people’s personal information confidentially. It is processed with care and only used for the purpose for which it was obtained.
- We act in a socially responsible manner in accordance with current legislation and regulations and accepted practice.
- We only provide information that is genuine and truthful and that is in accordance with the relevant regulations to ensure that the information is understood in context. In this way judgements are not affected by prejudice, conflict of interest or undue influence by others.
- Accepting or giving gifts that are likely to influence the impartiality of business decisions is not permitted.
- We fulfil our contractual obligations and our charges are straightforward. Clarity concerning rates and conditions is therefore essential.
- Where it may reasonably be expected that we are speaking as representatives of Control, we will only state Control's position.
- We provide professional services and reflect this in our attitude and conduct. We work quickly and accurately.
- We only take on tasks for which we have sufficient training and experience. We do not raise unrealistic expectations. We always try to exceed our customers’ expectations.
- We strive for quality in the execution of our assignments and a thorough approach based on milestone planning, monitoring progress and guaranteeing the work completed.
Passionate
The way in which we do our job is proactive and solution-oriented, always coming up with ideas and trying to exceed expectations. We are accessible and are good listeners. We endeavour to continue to develop, both personally and professionally. We believe that it is not only what someone can do that is important but what sort of person someone is.
And always wanting to do better- Customer satisfaction is essential. We are definitely open to criticism and suggestions which will help us to continue optimising the service we provide.
- Happy staff feel valued and perform better. Control encourages an inspirational climate with room for personal development and training.
- We will only recruit, employ and promote financial professionals on the basis of objective abilities and skills which are needed for the post to be filled.

External commitment- Control aims to form lasting customer relationships. We assume a position of responsibility and loyalty. We are not interested in short-term success.
- We refrain from conduct and statements that could bring our customers and other relationships into disrepute.
- Any action that could give the appearance of mixing business and private interests is not permitted. We always assume a position of being expert, honest and reliable.
- We do not approach staff working for our clients with a view to meeting our own staff recruitment needs.
- Control aims to create a working environment in which people can trust and respect each other and in which everyone feels responsible for the results and reputation of our company and our customers.
